Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Bianca Hur offers a humanistic approach and philosophy to therapy, emphasizing a holistic perspective. She creates a safe space through empathy, acceptance, and mutual respect, helping clients work towards maximizing their well-being. She helps clients understand how the subconscious mind is directly affected by the physiological components of the body in interaction with the cognitive/ conscious mind. She believes that each person ultimately has the power within themselves to find their solutions, and she can serve them on this path of self-empowerment.

Dr. Hur collaborates with her clients to tailor treatment towards each unique individual, utilizing techniques from various modalities such Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. She is also passionate about mind-body therapeutic modalities such as yoga, breath-work, and mindfulness techniques to aid in the process of healing. Her areas of interest include working with trauma, anxiety, social anxiety, depression, identity development, life transitions, stress management, and women’s health.

Education & Experience

Dr. Bianca Hur received her bachelor’s degree in comparative literature and culture from Yonsei University in South Korea. She worked within the media and communications sect while studying and living in Korea, before shifting her career into the field of psychology. She received her doctorate degree in clinical psychology at Azusa Pacific University. Her dissertation topic was on yoga as an adjunct treatment for depression in women undergoing menopausal transition. She is a certified yoga instructor and has a certification in hypnotherapy.

Dr Hur is bilingual in Korean and English and has an interest in incorporating her work to advocate for the Asian-American community, as well as other minority populations. She has clinical experience working with young adults to middle aged adults of diverse cultural backgrounds.
