Robyn Travis, LPCC

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

Robyn Travis is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 25 years in the psychology field,  encompassing all levels of care. Her focus is always on helping her patients and their loved ones find  hope and healing through building a strong therapeutic relationship.

Robyn has experience working with clients of all age groups, but she especially enjoys supporting  adolescents, adults and families. Her dedication to helping others navigate life’s struggles is rooted in  building a place of safety, compassion, trust, and rapport with her patients.

With experience in a wide variety of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy  (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), FBT (Family Based Therapy), Acceptance and Commitment  Therapy (ACT) and more, Robyn believes in meeting her clients where they are and walking alongside  them on their journey towards healing. Through guidance and the therapeutic process, she provides her  patients with the tools and support needed to empower themselves through personal challenges.  Outside of therapeutic practice, Robyn loves spending time at the beach with her family and friends, as  well as going on daily adventures with her dog. Her favorite quote is by Booker T. Washington: “Success  is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which  they have overcome.”

Education & Experience

Robyn earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at California Baptist University where she also  worked at the campus counseling center helping students and athletes struggling with eating disorders,  anxiety, depression and life stressors.

She has extensive expertise treating a variety of issues related to disordered eating, and has worked in  residential, partial hospitalization/day treatment, and outpatient levels of care for most of her career.  She believes in collaboration with other providers and health professionals, such as doctors or dietitians, when appropriate to meet her client’s needs.

Along with co-occurring issues such as OCD, anxiety, trauma and depression, Robyn knows the impact  these types of struggles have on relationships and families and she invites loved ones into session if the  client desires to do so. With her many years of experience, Robyn has also provided care to those  suffering with all types of grief and loss, caregiver stress, chronic pain, and life transitions.
