Having witnessed the challenges of living with unresolved emotional and behavioral symptoms, Jeong Pyun approaches each client with great compassion and empathy, which is why her clients feel safe and accepted throughout the therapy process. Jeong is recognized for creating a safe environment for her clients to express and explore difficult topics. Her process includes working collaboratively to create a treatment plan to help clients reach their own personal therapy goals. She also strives to empower her clients by gently guiding them to identify and explore their strengths and personal insight, which she believes are essential to reach their goals. Jeong is trained in in a wide variety of science-based treatment modalities including EMDR, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness-Based Interventions and Self-Compassion Therapy. Her therapy style is collaborative, compassionate and non-judgmental. Jeong works with older teens (15+), adults, and older adults, and has specialized experience treating depression, mood disorders, anxiety, grief, complex trauma, PTSD, abuse survival issues, self-esteem, and relationship issues. 

Education & Experience

Jeong received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the prestigious New York University and her Bachelor's Degree in Korean Language and Literature from Han Yang University in South Korea. She has over 10 years of psychology experience, working in a variety of settings, including community mental health clinics, non-profit organizations, public schools, and adult day health care centers. Jeong currently welcomes new clients, offers both in-person and remote telehealth therapy, and accepts Medicare.
