Sepideh Fatemi is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over a decade of experience working treating a wide array of mental health issues. At the core of her therapeutic approach lies a commitment to strength-based counseling. Sepideh firmly believes in joining her patients where they are, offering empathy and understanding as they embark on a collaborative journey towards growth and healing. By cultivating a sense of trust and confidence in the therapeutic process, she empowers her patients to explore their inner world and gain valuable insights into their emotions. Sepideh firmly advocates the idea that understanding our emotions, especially at the early ages, is key to managing our thoughts and ultimately our actions. Through this process of self-awareness and insight, she guides her patients to develop healthy coping mechanisms, leading them to become the best version of themselves - - -regardless of age, socioeconomic status, family structure or sexual orientation.

Sepideh’s extensive knowledge of psychological theories allows her to adapt her therapy approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Recognizing that no two journeys are the same, she draws from an eclectic array of approaches and modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as Art and Play Therapy for children and adolescents, and tailors her methods to the specific circumstances and goals of each patient. Sepideh embraces the diversity of human experiences and honors the uniqueness of each person's story. This adaptability empowers her to create personalized and transformative counseling experiences, fostering lasting positive change in the lives of those she serves. As a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and licensed Marriage and Family therapist, Sepideh feels privileged to share her knowledge and expertise to help others flourish in their personal growth and lead more meaningful lives.

Education & Experience

Sepideh earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University and her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from San Francisco State University. She has more than a decade of professional experience in the field of psychology in a wide array of settings from governmental agency and non-profit community mental health to private practice and school-based counseling centers. Her emphasis and passion continues to be focused on children (6+ years of age), adolescents, and teens.
